The term 'Mardi Gras' derives from french word 'Fat Tuesday' which refers to a previous night of enjoying luxious, vibrant and rich foods while in good company. This has evolved into a global phenomenon which symbolises the fluorescent, lively and diverse society that we all reside in.
The Mardi Gras season enfolds a range of different activities and celebrations that both parade folk and the general public can enjoy.
